Nabudol po ako ng agent na nagpakilala na pampangas Best agent na nagpunta sa pwesto ko. Yan po ang karamihan na produkto na binigay nya… may mga agent po kau na nagiikot sa mga lugar.

Ito po nangyari maam nangyari ito nung April 30.
Pumunta po sa pwesto namin… nasa highway ang pwesto namin… siguro napansin nya na bago lang kami kaya kami pinuntahan.. medjo open ang pwesto ko lc mga itlog palang ang tinda ko. Inalok kami mag dealer sa pampangas Best. Dun sa pricelist nya nandun ang per package na pwede ma avail para maging delear… may cashback pa ng ilan percent, per month daw yun. Sasabihin pa nya na papahiramin ng Freezer at may mga reselear daw sya na sa akin kukuha para di ako mahirapan mag dispose ng produkto,,, every week pupunta sila kung sakali may natira sa product papalitan nila weekly daw yun.

Kaya napa oo kami na kumuha ng package… the same day bumalik dala na ang mga produkto pero wala pang freezer kc daw i rerequest pa sa office nila. Kaya nasa styro lang ang froozen at ang iba nasa plastic bag.

Nung dumating dalawa na sila, buhat buhat na nya ang styro na may mga froozen tapos yunh mga papel na pepermahin na kaylangan… yun pagkadating nila sabi ko bilangin muna natin tapos sabi ok na yan completo na yan at may libre na isa bawat klase ng product. Kaya uumahin nya na mapa perma ka, lilituhin ka eh bast ang hawak na ang recibo pinaperma nya ako… magulo lc sulat nung sa recibo eh medjo malabo na mata ko kaya perma nalang ako… at parang may naamoy ako na parang nakakahilo kaya gagawin mo nalang na matapos na ang transuction.

Nung tapos na magperma na pinakuha na ang pera. Habang nagbibilang sinasabi nya na babalik daw sila kinabukasan para ihatid ang freezer. Nagbilangan din kami ng pera tapos nyan bubuksan ko na ang styro para bilangin bigla nalang sila nawala. Kaya tuloy na ako sa pag bilang ng mga producto.. nung matapos ako mag bilang dun ko lang nalamn na wala ibang produkto at nung kinumpute ko masyadong malaki ang mga price bawat product.

Sharing Food, Sharing Love

History: Pampanga’s Best Inc. (PBI) has long-been nurturing its foundation, IBACA (Ibayung Cabalantian, which means “Bagong Cabalantian”) that caters to help people from Cabalantian, Bacolor. Through the years, PBIhas reached where it is now because of the support of consumers buying PBI products. Because of its success, PBI has been giving back to the less-fortunate sectors of society; thus, the institution of the PAMPANGA’S BEST, INC. (PBI) FOUNDATION.

A Legacy of Charity: The PBI Foundation has been active in reaching out to people in need since 2016 during calamities, specifically flood relief operations. Thousands of Capampangan lives, not only in San Fernando, have been touched via the relief goods.

Renewed Mission: Feeding School Children: True to its “Sarap ng Tunay na Pagmamahal” campaign, the PBI Foundation has launched its Feeding Program entitled “Sharing Food, Sharing Love”. Since September 2018, PBI has shown its love and care to over 1,000 elementary school pupils from ten barangays in the City of San Fernando. Sustainable nourishment is the focus of this school feeding program.

The smiles and laughter of the kids were very evident as Pampanga’s Best Sarap products like tocino, longaniza, hotdog, and embotido were specially prepared with rice in a cup. The PBI Foundation is truly grateful to the barangay officials, PTA officers, teachers, and parents of these student-beneficiaries in working hand in hand to making this feeding program successful.

Feeding the Rescuers: After April 22’s devastating earthquake in Porac, Pampanga, the PBI Foundation “Sharing Food, Sharing Love” program turns its attention to feeding the rescue workers and volunteers. As a gesture of gratitude to these selfless rescue workers, the PBI Foundation gives out almost a thousand delicious rice meals to nourish these modern-day heroes. Once again, Pampanga’s Best Sarap products longaniza and embutido were carefully prepared with rice in a cup.

WARNING FOR FAKE AGENTS

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

The Management of Pampanga’s Best would like to warn the public against persons posing as “employees” of the company who have already victimized a number of people from Central Luzon, National Capital Region and other part of Luzon.

Unsuspecting victims are presented with identification cards, stating that the suspects are valid employees of Pampanga’s Best, Inc., as well as brochures indicating the packages offered for the products.

These “posers” have also promised unsuspecting entrepreneurs of “benefits” once they agree to sell Pampanga’s Best products, plus a hefty commission and a big discount.

The benefits promised come in the form of “freezers and rent payment” for the stalls where these entrepreneurs would supposedly sell the products.

Part of their modus operandi, based on reports, would be to lure businessmen into purchasing the said the products, without knowing that they would be paying a considerable amount than what the total worth of the said products is.

They would then promise to come back in a few days along with a promised freezer.

Because of these unfortunate incidents, which have been transpiring for some time now, the Management of Pampanga’s Best, Inc. is strongly advising the public to be vigilant against these unscrupulous individuals or group of individuals.

If you have fallen victims to this modus operandi, please report this incident to the proper authorities so that appropriate action may be taken against these individuals.

“Pampanga’s Best, Inc. denies any involvement with or connection to these fake sales agents. Thus, given this notice, the company will not honor any transaction entered with them.”

Pampanga’s Best Foundation: Faces of Relief

(Relief Operations-August)

Bearing the province name of its homeland “Pampanga”, the foundation realized the need to act promptly with the flood situations. It started to visit and share goods last August 18 to people of Brgy. San Nicolas—relocated in their elementary school and most in Brgy. Saguin’s covered court. At the school, people were welcoming and cooperative. Set-up was different in Brgy. Saguin’s evacuation center. The said basketball court had booth-like cubicles with blue canvass as separations. Surely, there was discomfort spending nights on floor cements, but this wasn’t evident with the warm smiles exuded by the evacuees. August 19—visit to San Agustin elementary school evacuation site, San Vicente covered court, and Moras dela Paz, Sto. Tomas. With the latter covered courts, situation was less likely comfortable—open spaced, all in together. Still, smiles were over any frets. August 20—a couple of Pampanga councilors took the lead in traversing floods to the towns of Minalin, Masantol, and Macabebe.

This time, road travel wasn’t quite easy. Floodwaters were almost consistently knee-high throughout Masantol and Macabebe. Then again, Filipinos really do stand out with their cheerful aura despite calamities. It seemed that locals are used to this yearly flood recurrence, since they preferred to stay in their houses rather than evacuate. Probing about Pampanga’s situation, others believe that the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo caused these recurring calamity; however, it can be traced that a drainage canal leading to Pampanga swamps passes through the soil series causing the very poor drainage system, and subsequently making some towns to be submerged in flood during heavy rains.

In times like these, Filipinos have their unwavering faith and unceasing urge to help one another and relief operations have been customary; however, the word “relief” is now just a common word to describe the calamity assistance activity. Hope we always remember: “The BEST reward in sacrificing to help others?—Faces of Relief”.

Note that the Philippine brand PAMPANGA’S BEST is not the one of the OMGpeke company in the USA.

The ORIGINAL Pampanga’s Best has been in in business in the Philippines since 1967.

Do you know about the OMGpeke scandal?

It’s about a USA company that pirated the Magnolia ice-cream brand and logo from San Miguel Philippines. Filipino Americans think they’re buying the Magnolia ice cream they grew up with back home… but they are not.

Well, the very same USA company Ramar Foods filed a trademark application in the United States for the brand name “Pampanga’s Best” in the year 2000.

Pampanga’s Best is a well-known brand in the Philippines, having been in the business of making tocino and longaniza since 1967 until today.

There is NO existing relation between “Pampanga’s Best” of Ramar Foods USA and the original *Pampanga’s Best* of the Philippines.

Pindang Damulag is a Kapampangan delicacy… what the Tagalogs might refer to as Tosinong Kalabaw… Tocino is the Filipino term for any cured meat.

Into English, pindang damulag has been translated as Carabeef or Cara-beef, i.e., the meat or of the carabao, which is the domestic water buffalo of the Philippines.

Taste Test: Which of the Top 4 Commercial Bacon Brands Is the Best?

Many food trends come and go, but bacon never gets old. Whether plated with eggs sunny side up, or with pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast, fried to a crisp and crushed as toppings for nachos, sandwiched in between buns in a burger, or perhaps served with maple syrup ice cream for dessert—bacon is good with almost anything and everything, and instantly takes dishes from boring to exciting. Shirts, mugs, accessories, and all sorts of merchandise have even been made to proclaim people’s love for the good stuff.

Fried processed pork may not be the best thing for your health, but it is known that there is rarely ever such a thing as “bad bacon” when it comes to taste. But which bacon brand in the market gives you your money’s worth? A few members of our team tried out 4 of the most commonly found supermarket brands, and we’ve jotted down what we have to say about them. We’ve rated them according to tastiness, referring to how much flavor the bacon has to offer. The two other criteria we set were juiciness, as well as the meat-to-fat balance of the bacon.

1. CDO Regular Bacon

Flavor: 3/5
Juiciness: 2/5
Meat to Fat Ratio: 2.5/5

Price: P110.75 for 200g

CDO’s regular bacon was the thinnest cut of the lot, and therefore took the shortest amount of time to cook. This makes it quite convenient for those who can’t wait to get their fix of fried goodness, but also puts it at risk of being overcooked or too charred, so you should probably be careful not to burn the bacon. It already has a smoky barbecue-like flavor in itself. However, we didn’t necessarily like this, since we prefer our bacon straightforward, with no frills. In terms of juiciness, there wasn’t much there because of its thinness. The fat-to-meat ratio was also a bit off, with the bacon being composed of fat more than anything.

2. Pampanga’s Best Bacon

Flavor: 4/5
Juiciness: 4/5
Meat to Fat Ratio: 2.5/5

Price: P105.95 for 240g

Pampanga’s Best’s bacon had more meat to offer than the other bacon brands, and proves to be sulit for the amount you get for its price. Out of all four, you could definitely tell that this was the meatiest. But some of us think this misses the point of bacon, being that it needs just a little more of the deliciously unhealthy and oily fat we all love so much. The meat, however, was tender and juicy. In terms of tastiness, I personally thought it was just a little too salty. But most of the team thought that this bacon was quite flavorful or malasa, which gave it plus points. A note on cooking this bacon would also be to watch it carefully as it simmers, as it tends to shrink quite easily.

3. Swift Delicious Bacon

Flavor: 1.5/5
Juiciness: 3/5
Meat to Fat Ratio: 4/5

Price: P115.25 for 200g

What we all had in common to say about Swift’s bacon was that it was not as tasty as the other bacon brands. It was leaning towards bland. It was, however, far from dry—but not as juicy as Pampanga’s Best. It had quite a good meat-to-fat ratio, except the fat didn’t prove to be as savory as one would expect from bacon. Overall, we’d say Swift’s bacon is not that big of a steal, as it costs Php115.25 for 200g—the second most expensive on this list. But it still does the job of satisfying bacon lovers’ cravings.

4. Purefoods Honeycured Bacon

Flavor: 4.5/5
Juiciness: 4.5/5
Meat to Fat Ratio: 5/5

Price: P263.75 for 400g

Purefoods’ Honeycured Bacon sure does come close to the perfect idea of bacon from all we tested. Out of all the 4, it had the best balance of meat and fat, and was also the one with the largest, most evenly-sized slices. It was the juiciest, and was oozing—but not dripping—with just the right amount of oil that was so good that you knew it was bad for you. It also had that extra crunch, while also being quite meaty.

Her warm embraces when she congratulated you for a job well done or when you felt anxious and sad? Or her sweet, beautiful smile as she serves you with food that she considers best?

June 18, 2016 was the shooting day of Pampanga’s Best TV Commercial: Best Tocino, Noon at Ngayon. Pampanga’s Best collaborated with a competent production team in executing this legacy-themed commercial.

Story revolves around Baste, a boy who loves his mom’s cooking so much. Since 1967, Pampanga’s Best Tocino has been Baste’s favorite viand—from the aroma while tocino’s being fried, to the unique sweet-salty taste in every appetizing bite. 50 years after, Baste still gets to enjoy the delicious treat of his favorite tocino. This time, his lovely wife is the one serving him and his kids their favorite. With every tasty encounter with the “original” tocino, Baste becomes nostalgic—being brought back to his special memories with his mom.

That was a wrap.
